The objective was to bring a course side hotel into the official corporate programme, manage the bespoke venue, and generate profit for the event.
MatchPoint was exclusively appointed to manage packaging, delivery and sales strategy.
Product range included corporate tables overlooking the 18th Green, traditional restaurants, bars, and café areas.
Sales channels were MatchPoint teams in Scotland and London, further distribution included selected agents and the R&A’s hospitality and catering partner.
Marketing activity included integration within the R&A’s collateral channels, MatchPoint website, email campaigns and hard copy traditional collateral.
Outcome – Sell out across all facilities all days, significant financial return for R&A higher than budget.
