Cricket Scotland's objectives were to raise the profile of their corporate hospitality provision, engage a business audience, and generate profit from their corporate programme. They also wanted to increase  guests numbers and business loyalty to Cricket Scotland.

When Cricket Scotland was first granted official international status, MatchPoint was appointed to provide expertise in developing an effective corporate hospitality solution to maximise sales, revenue, and engagement. MatchPoint implemented a dedicated sales campaign targeting primarily Edinburgh and Glasgow businesses, and secondly London businesses with Edinburgh clients. Throughout the Cricket Scotland partnership, the level of delivery and service was a priority to maintaining loyalty within the corporate market. 

MatchPoint was appointed in 2005 and by 2008 had delivered the following results for Cricket Scotland:

  • Tripled the number of corporate guests
  • Increased the price points and profit per guest
  • Corporate hospitality generating a positive revenue stream for Cricket Scotland

MatchPoint's hospitality solution has also received industry recognition at the Scottish Event Awards, winning Best Corporate Hospitality in 2009 . "We have been delighted with MatchPoint's professional approach to the sales and delivery of our corporate hospitality programme. Their success throughout the duration of their contract with us has meant we have been able to take our new status in One-Day International matches to the next level.
