MatchPoint has been the hospitality partner of Cricket Scotland since 2001. When Cricket Scotland was granted official international status, MatchPoint were appointed to provide expertise in developing an effective corporate hospitality solution to maximise sales and revenue and raise the profile of Scottish cricket.
MatchPoint was appointed in 2005 and over the initial 3 years have delivered the following results for Cricket Scotland:
- Tripled the number of corporate guests
- Increased the price points and profit per guest
- Corporate hospitality now a positive revenue stream for Cricket Scotland
The sales campaign targeted Edinburgh and Glasgow businesses and London organisations with an Edinburgh base. Throughout the Cricket Scotland partnership, the level of delivery and service has remained key to maintaining loyalty within the corporate market.
MatchPoint’s hospitality solution received industry recognition at the Scottish Event Awards as well as praise from Chief Executive Roddy Smith and his successor Malcolm Cannon.

2018 saw one of the greatest days in Scottish Cricket when Scotland defeated England on 10 June at The Grange. CEO Malcolm Cannon remarked that

The support from not only our fans but also from local and national businesses has been staggering. We aim to continue to demonstrate that we can compete strongly on the world stage.”
MatchPoint helped deliver a sell out event at 2018’s England game.
