Scotland Rugby League Students at Universities World Cup

MatchPoint pleased to be supporting Scotland Rugby League Students squad

in the Universities World Cup, Sydney.

As part of their long term partnership with Scotland Rugby League, MatchPoint are delighted to be supporting the Scotland Students World Cup squad as they take part in the Festival of World Cups in Sydney. 

The Scotland students have funded most of their trip themselves with investment from MatchPoint and a number of other sponsors helping to reduce the cost for each squad member. Mark Bayliss, MD Australia, met the squad at training in Moore Park, Sydney before they moved out to their base north of Parramatta.

“It was tremendous to meet with the Scotland Students squad and staff and hear about the commitment that they have all made to ensure that they have a very successful trip to Australia both on and off the pitch.  It is great for MatchPoint to be able to support the Scotland Students”.

Keith Hogg, Chairman of Scotland Rugby League said, ‘MatchPoint are a highly valuable supporter of all levels of rugby league in Scotland.  Their support of the Students squad has directly benefitted all participants and Mark taking the time to come and say hello to everyone taking part in the trip was really appreciated by everyone'. 

The tournament got off to a good start for the Scots with a 48-18 points win over Wales. Next up Ireland…
