Asian Football Confederation and World Sport Group appoint MatchPoint as exclusive hospitality partner for AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019

Edinburgh-based MatchPoint has been chosen to be exclusive hospitality partner at one of 2019’s biggest sporting events.

The AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 will be the biggest edition yet of the AFC Asian Cup, with the football tournament expanding from 16 teams to 24 teams for the first time.

MatchPoint will create, manage and deliver the complete and exclusive corporate hospitality programme at the 2019 finals, which will be played across eight stadiums and four cities - Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain - from January 5 to February 1.

Some 45 countries, representing more than half the world’s population, have been involved in the qualifying stages of the 17th edition of the tournament, while the 2015 AFC Asian Cup in Australia attracted a global television audience of more than 1 billion people. 

That tournament in Australia marked the first time that hospitality had been offered at the AFC Asian Cup after MatchPoint presented the governing body with a complete, brand new vision, strategy and business plan for the event.
