“The SCG and Allianz Stadium host more than 80 major events every year and MatchPoint will play a pivotal role in making sure that the corporate offering we provide is world class,” Hill said.
“Events like the Ashes series, the HSBC Sydney Sevens, the NRL Finals Series and the Wallabies June Test have a global appeal. The opportunity for fans to enjoy the spectacle from one of our corporate suites has been a huge part of their success to date.
“Our sports partners bring more than 1.7 million people through the gates every year and it’s important that our highest paying ticketholders and clients enjoy an unforgettable game day experience.”
Founder and Group Managing Director, Neil Cunningham is pleased to continue a longstanding partnership with two of the country’s leading sports venues and believes this is a unique venue and opportunity for corporate Sydney.
“Importantly, the Trust has secured a number of new events adding to the existing range for major fixtures and concerts in the calendar. T20’s are joining the traditional Ashes Test and ODI’s along with increasing Big Bash fixtures, The Swans, The Waratahs, Sydney FC home games including the now iconic derby against Wanderers, and major artists like Ed Sheeran being hosted each year.
“We are investing in the hospitality and corporate experience by developing new and refurbished suites and boxes, and new hospitality products and options.
“All of this, and the convenient location of the SCG and Allianz Stadium for entertaining, makes this a very exciting project and we are very proud to be working with the Trust to keep as this as the leading venue for business and sport.”
“SCG Hospitality is offering the widest range of events and facilities, right on the Sydney doorstep enriching the existing family of major Australian events including Bledisloe Cup, State of Origin, RLWC2017 and the Socceroos journey on the road to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
“We are very confident that corporate Sydney, corporate Australia, and international companies, will embrace what’s on offer and enjoy these events and the hospitality experience.”
